NO SANE RATIONALE

Chris Burton's bull's-eye (Editor's mailbag, "Time for
representation," Feb. 2) mistakenly indicates doctors prescribe
cannabis (marijuana); however, it is "recommended" rather than
prescribed due to the federal government's discredited Schedule I
listing. Schedule I places the God-given plant alongside heroin, while
methamphetamine and cocaine are only Schedule II substances.

A sane or moral argument to perpetuate cannabis prohibition doesn't
exist.
