NEWSPAPER IS GOING TO POT OVER REFERENDUM

To the editor;

Re: "Store acts as petition sign up spot," Oct. 3.

I was surprised to see the Cloverdale Reporter going to pot by giving
publicity to Gypsy Moon, and the Sensible B.C. marijuana referendum petition.

I am not that surprised that aged 60 and up have signed this petition.

It is probably the last and final gasp from the Turn-On and Tune Out,
Hippie Generation. That too, will finally pass.

Even if this referendum is successful, it will not change anything.
Marijuana and all other illegal drugs come under the federal
government's criminal laws, while this referendum only applies to B.C.

We have already seen how our prime minister has handled controversial
issues in the past. That is the reason why he is still our prime minister.
