NEW THINKING ON POT

CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta, as reported in Debra J. Saunders' column on
Aug. 27 ("Doc: Weed can heal"), conceded his previous thinking
against medical marijuana and recreational marijuana was wrong.

Gupta did enough research to confirm what most of us are finding to
be true, that marijuana can lessen certain symptoms of treatment, can
treat certain diseases, can also be of use as a preventative and
doesn't present side effects as do pharmaceuticals.

And recreationally, marijuana is much less harmful than alcohol.

The more that is known about marijuana, the more benefits come to
light. It's much more than just a pleasant "high." Gupta changed his
mind, as have many others in the medical field. Have you ever known
someone to change their mind back? Me neither.
