His subsequent rationale was by regulating it young people would be protected. Obviously, he is oblivious to the fact this is the case with both alcohol and tobacco, yet underage Canadians still get a ready supply of these substances. Now he admits to having used pot; the actual number of times is sketchy. Was this actually the driving force for legalization? As a sitting MP, his total disregard for our narcotic laws shows poor judgment from someone seeking the top job in Canada. What bothers me even more about this admission is that, coming from a role model who claims he wants to protect young Canadians from experimenting with pot, it will encourage this very group to try it.
