AFTER DRUG TRAFFICKING RESIDENTS CRY WAYWARDNESS AT BADAMWARI

Srinagar, June 22: The old City residents have complained of growing
waywardness at the nearby Badamwari Park even as they accused the
police of sleeping over the issue.

"Amid police inaction against the miscreants indulging in daylight
waywardness" in and around Badamwari, the residents have urged the
state government to "sensitise the police about the deteriorating
situation before it gets out of hands."

The locals alleged that the "police is shutting eyes to the growing
incidents of waywardness."

"Just today a cab driver was caught indulging in bashful acts with a
minor girl who was later handed over to her parents. Earlier also
similar incidents were reported from the locality," the residents said.

The concerned citizens have already accused the police of sleeping
over alleged drug-trafficking at the nearby Sheikh Colony.

They appealed Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Abdul Gani Mir to
personally look into the matter.
