PRO-POT CROWD TO RALLY ON SATURDAY

ASA Rallies Members to Overturn Cannabis Cultivation Ordinance

Americans for Safe Access - Nevada County is holding an Emergency
Town Hall Meeting to rally members of the community who are opposed
to the newly enacted Medical Marijuana Ordinance.

On Tuesday, the Nevada County Board of Supervisors voted to enact an
ordinance that limits medical marijuana grow operations throughout the county.

Some of the provisions include square footage limitations, and
1,000-foot setbacks from schools, churches and official school bus stops.

After the vote for approval was made by the board, many who were
opposed to the ordinance vociferously expressed outrage at its passage.

Patricia Smith, the president of the local chapter of ASA, said that
the experience was emotional and that her group would likely pursue litigation.

Town hall meetings will be held from 1-3 p.m. and again from 3-5 p.m.
- - to accommodate the large number of people who are expected to
attend - on Saturday at Anything Green Hydroponics, 17552 Penn Valley
Drive, Penn Valley.

Legal defense options will be discussed and action plans will be
mapped out for the immediate future, Smith said.
