LEVITICUS DOESN'T FORBID THE USE OF MARIJUANA

Editor,

The authorized version of the King James Bible gives Christians the
right to every herb, including marijuana. We don't have to look very
far. The first book of Genesis mentions herbs four times with God
saying in verse 29, "I have given you every herb bearing seed, which
is upon the face of all the earth." God also said after bringing
forth herbs, "God saw that it was good." And, again in verse 31, "And
God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good."
Psalm 104:14 stated, "and herbs for the service of man."

Romans 14:2 said, "...another, who is weak, eateth herbs." The whole
Romans chapter 14 is good advice on judging one's herb use.

Hebrews 6:7 stated, "For the earth which drinketh in the rain that
cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it
is dressed, receiveth blessing from God."

What wonderful feeling, a blessing from God.

Christ said in Matthew 15:11, "Not that which goeth into the mouth
defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, that defileth
a man." In Matthew 15:13, Christ said, "Every plant, which my
Heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up."

If any herbs were not allowed by God, God would say so in Leviticus,
chapter 11.

If we think any herb is bad, then our argument is against God's word,
Christ and their prophets.

The U.S. Constitution, First Amendment, allows religious freedom. The
war on drugs is a war on people's souls, thoughts, feelings,
individuality, creativity and religion.

Abraham Lincoln, America's 16th president responded to prohibition in
December of 1840 stating, "Prohibition goes beyond the bounds of
reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by
legislation, making a crime out of things that are not crimes... a
prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles on which our
government was founded."
