DING-A-LING DRUG TALK CONCERNING CHRISTIANS

Editor, the Times:

I read with wonderment the ding-a-ling writings of Chris Bours
'Christians have their ceremonial drugs too', in the Sept. 6 edition
of your paper.

Question: who is a Christian? One that follows Christ's teachings and
examples? Belonging to a religion which follows Christ's teachings?

These are positive attributes, but do they make you a Christian?

The excessive use of alcohol and/or mind altering drugs causes an
individual to possibly lose the ability for rational thinking and
actions. Who then is in control?

My understanding, the reason mind altering substances are used is too
change the perspective of reality and dull the senses of how things
are. True Christians did not introduce mind altering substances to the
New World. It was the criminal element of the day and it still
continues today.

As we continue to tell our youth: Just say no to drugs, or do we
care?
