SOME CITY LEADERS ACTUALLY READ LAW

It is amazing that Red Bluff and Chico politicians can read
Proposition 215. It was established to allow patients to grow for
their own use and for their caregivers to help them. There is no
provision for cooperatives or dispensaries. Redding and other cities
in Shasta County are breaking both state and federal laws by allowing
them to exist. Even doctors are not allowed to sell marijuana, be it
for profit or under the auspices of so-called nonprofits.

By the same token, regulation of where a patient is allowed to grow
or how much medicine he or she needs to grow is also counter to
Proposition 215's provisions. If patients are not allowed to have a
little garden in their yards, they will simply grow indoors, which
presents other problems, such as fire danger.

A little reading skill and a little common sense should prevail,
provided the local "leaders" can just find a way to access them.
