Do the backward-thinking decision-makers in this state really think that now marijuana is going to be controlled somehow? That now, it's just going to disappear? Out of sight, out of mind, I guess. Now we go back to the days when people became criminals, where pot is sold underground, untaxed, unregulated and illegal. We had a golden opportunity to really regulate this thing, to generate revenue, to nail down the science for legal, law-abiding citizens of free will to use something the individual chooses to use. The individual. Remember the individual? There were some obvious loopholes, some things we needed to tighten up in the new law, but now we won't have that chance. Does anyone remember prohibition? Does anyone think that a glass of wine or a beer is horrible, in need of going underground? Alcohol is and will always be more harmful than marijuana, period. We look back at prohibition now and say, "Wow, wasn't that kinda silly?" Shame on the fear-mongers. Shame on the ignorant, and shame on us all.
