NO CORRUPTION HERE

Re: "Good luck, Mike," letter to the editor, Friday, Jan. 14.

Harold Bridge has a lot of gall suggesting that marijuana corrupts people.

All -- yes, all -- available evidence shows that it is the
prohibition of marijuana which is the thing causing all the crime,
not the plant itself.

As for marijuana being an "illegal substance," there have been a
number of court rulings that have basically legalized weed by
striking down the prohibition on pot as unconstitutional, which is
how legal medical marijuana licensed from Health Canada came to exist.

As for the "destruction of healthy people," cannabis has dozens of
proven medical applications, including the shrinking of cancerous
tumors. Even when smoked, the benefits outweigh the dangers. My wife
and I have been using several grams every day for years, and our
health has only improved. For example, I am no longer using a
wheelchair, and I am no longer impotent.
