MOVE TO AMSTERDAM

I vote no on Proposition 19. I have heard both arguments: the pros
seem like so much propaganda and the cons seem too political.

It's not that hard to see why we should vote no. If this law passes,
our schools will no longer be drug free zones. Medical staff, EMS,
fire/law, those we trust with our lives could be under the influence
at any given time. Families will be ripped apart and children will be
removed because drug abuse eventually leads to that.

Marijuana is not harmless, it's a drug. Period. I have seen many
families torn apart, and know of friends whose lives have gone down
the drain because of the "recreational use." Healthy people don't
need to be high in order to enjoy life. And if used for medical
purposes, there is the drug Marinol which comes in a pill form and
does what it's suppose to for those who truly need it. Those who
oppose that drug are strictly out to get high, and that is what our
community does not need. If you want drugs to be legal, move to Amsterdam.
