OVERESTIMATION

I was reading the newspaper and came across a report concerning a drug
bust by the Bibb County drug investigators. They indicated it was
4-ounces of marijuana, 20 rocks of crack cocaine with money and a
stolen TV. I pause for a moment because they said the cocaine had a
street value of $800. I don?t understand why every time drug
investigators discover a particular drug in predominantly black
communities they basically lie about the estimated street value to the
extreme.

I think it's insane to put those false accusations to the public
because it misleads people. Why lock people up for drugs and lie about
the estimate?
