INTEREST HIGH OVER CANNABIS DOCO

Nationwide interest in Taranaki's unique cannabis education
documentary is growing, its director says.

Hiding Behind the Green Screen, the brainchild of Taranaki Youth Court
Judge Rob Murfitt, was premiered this month.

Since news of its release there had been wide interest, director Paora
Joseph said.

"We are aware that this film will bring raise many issues for people
and keen to create discussion in order to positively transform
people's lives." Troubled families concerned about their addicted
children, schools, the forestry and oil industries, Hawera police and
several mental health organisations have been among those asking for
copies of the DVD, Mr Joseph said.

One of the first workshops will be at Opunake High School tomorrow
where it will be shown to the whole school during assembly.

Any others interested can get on to the website,
hidingbehindthegreenscreen.com,
or contact New Plymouth's youth health service, Waves.

New Plymouth's Arthouse Cinema will screen it to all schools in
October.
