LEGALIZATION WON'T HELP

It is understandable why taxing medical cannabis is being proposed as
a way to get income to the city and county coffers. But where does
that stop? Does it mean the beginning of taxing all medical
pharmaceutical products, medical treatment, etc.?

Taxing has to stop somewhere. For years, we have taxed tobacco and
alcohol products. We have received a good many dollars in income, yet
it has not decreased the desire for alcohol, and tobacco is still
being promoted by the industry.

Legalizing marijuana is not going to bring down the price, when you
consider taxes being added, and crime will stay the same because of
the lack of funds for an individual to purchase medical
prescriptions.

Our leaders need to look this situation over carefully.
