EFFECT

Monday was the first day of Boulder's new licensing process for
medical marijuana businesses, and the city got about a half dozen

said.

No one has submitted an application, which can take a bit of time to
fill out, Huntley said.

that are already operating also must apply for licenses by varying
deadlines, depending on each company's situation.

Businesses that were operational before Monday but were not in
compliance with the city's code on June 17 have until the end of this
month to submit a completed application for a license. Businesses that
were in compliance with all laws and regulations June 17 have until
Oct. 31 to turn in an application, according to city officials.

required for any company involved in medical marijuana - not just
retail marijuana dispensaries, according to officials The license fee
