SKEPTICAL OF DUI REPORTS OF MARIJUANA

In all of my many years I have never heard of an accident being caused
because the driver was under the influence of marijuana alone. True,
I've heard of plenty of DUI accidents with alcohol and marijuana, meth
and marijuana, prescription drugs and marijuana. These reports have
always bothered me because you could have easily left the marijuana
out of the picture and the driver would have been just as impaired.

However, now I'm seeing bad accidents where the driver is being
accused of DUI due to marijuana only. This seems very strange. Has
there somehow been a recent surge in the number of people driving
while under the influence of marijuana? Did they come up with new
testing that can detect when people are actually under the influence
of marijuana? Or maybe it's because the legalization of marijuana will
be on the November ballot and so we are now getting a bunch of typical
anti-marijuana propaganda thrown at us.

I hope these people who have been accused of these DUIs get good
attorneys. I would hate to see anyone jailed for the mere sake of
anti-marijuana propaganda.
