NEWSPAPER GOES TOO FAR

I am appalled by the front page of the May 30 paper. How do we expect
to get the marijuana problem under control with our youths when we
plaster pictures of a lady smoking the stuff through a bong, and with
the message, "Just what the doctor ordered" as the headline? My
daughter's life dream is to get her "green card" as they call it
after her 18th birthday. This is the same dream that a lot of our
youths have since this medical marijuana thing went into effect. This
article is sending the wrong message to our children, it is
basically defeating all the work of families who have children in
rehab centers; it is a slap in the face to all parents who are firm
opponents of this legalization of medical marijuana. I have a family
member who is in rehab as we speak, and if she saw this headline on
the Helena paper, it would be detrimental to her treatment. This
treatment is costing almost $15,000 for 35 days. Thank God for
insurance; what about the families that ! don't have that luxury?
This is out there enough, it does not need to be posted all over the
papers! Until everyone wakes up and realizes the severity of this
problem, it is not going to go away and we are not going to get help
to our children who are affected by this demon.
