COMPASSION CLUB DEFENCE

Re: 'Maybe Marijuana Is Right For You,' letter to the editor, April 14;
'Opponents Of
Compassion Clubs Clearly Have Never Had Cancer,' letter to the editor,
March 25.

I'm happy to hear that letter-writer Dr. David Saul and others help
patients obtain legal marijuana. But I disagree with his assessment of
the compassion club I belong to, the Vancouver Island Compassion
Society (VICS), not the Vancouver version of the same. VICS offered me
different cannabis products (hemp lozenges for mouth sores, hash for
nausea, and different strains of marijuana for different symptoms).
What's more, the application process was simple and
hassle-free.

When you're really sick, you need help immediately. And the less paper
work and other nonsense, the better.
