AGE LIMIT IS UNFAIR

Re: "Senate seeks age limit for users of medical pot," March 29
Denver & The West story.

When my 16-year-old son had leukemia and self-administered morphine
every six minutes for pain, he wasn't required to get counseling to
use it. Politicians are not requesting age restrictions or counseling
for morphine or any other pharmaceutical substance in the future.

Why the discrimination? Politicians may detect a problem, but this
indicates they are unqualified to fix this type of issue. Doctors, not
politicians, should decide who uses cannabis (marijuana) or any other
medical treatment.
