MARIJUANA USE IS MORAL, ORDAINED IN THE BIBLE
I am writing in response
to Sarah Reyes' column, "Heads vs. Feds lights fresh debate." As a
Christian, I'm in favor of ending the sin of caging responsible adults
for using the relatively safe, God-given plant cannabis ( marijuana ).
Christ God our Father, the eco-logician, indicates he created
seed-bearing plants, saying they are all good, on literally the very
first page of the Bible ( Genesis 1:11-12 and 29-30 ). The only biblical
restriction placed on cannabis is that it is to be accepted with
thankfulness ( 1 Timothy 4:1-5 ).
The United States federal government has no moral or logical reason to
cage people for using cannabis or labeling the plant a Schedule I
substance alongside heroin.
