WHAT'S THE RUSH WITH POT LAWS?

Thank you, Carol James, for your medical marijuana letters and taking
the time to write about what many of us are thinking and believe, but
don't take the time to write. I do know oncologists with cancer
centers have stated that there are other sophisticated medications
that are much more effective in reducing nausea caused by chemo,
cancer symptoms and glaucoma. What medicine do you put into your body
by smoking it? Sadly young people are applying for medical marijuana
for backaches, headaches, tummy pains, etc. (and the need to get
high), not for the eight specific conditions it was approved for.

Thank you, Summit County Sheriff Minor and deputies for busting the
pot smokers in vehicles at A-Basin parking lot. Clearly this indicates
how abusive some of the young people can and will be. I do not want to
walk thru ski area parking lots and public places with my children
being exposed to second-hand marijuana smoke. I wonder how these
stoners can operate their vehicles after puffing dope.

I urge local town councils and officials to take their time putting
together the dispensary regulations in order to protect residents and
visitors and encourage the local authorities to enforce our laws.
Please extend the moratorium to be sure we have the proper security,
rules and laws in place We should wait to see the ripple effects that
dispensaries have on other communities. What's the rush? Not everyone
is supportive of making marijuana easily available.
