ALL RECREATIONAL DRUG USE IS BAD NEWS

Pot smokers making news the past few weeks:

On Aug. 4, police in New York said a woman smoking marijuana and
drinking alcohol caused a crash that killed herself and seven others.

Pot smoker John Jackey Worman was sentenced Aug. 12 to 120 years in
prison for making child pornography that shows him sexually assaulting
children, including infants.

In mid-August, an Israeli man who said he is a regular marijuana
smoker reported selling one of his kidneys for $20,000.

On Aug. 18, in Baltimore, three men were arrested for beating an
elderly African-American man in an incident police say had a racial
connection. One of the accused told police that the thugs smoked
marijuana after their cowardly assault on the 76-year-old.

On Aug. 28, police arrested Phillip Garrido for kidnapping an
11-year-old girl, raping and imprisoning her for 18 years, fathering
two children with her and imprisoning the children, too. Associated
Press news reports said Garrido has a long history of marijuana use.

At the end of September, entertainer Mackenzie Phillips revealed that
her late father, John Phillips, leader of a 1960s music group, for
years had sex with her - his own daughter. Among other drugs, he
introduced her to marijuana, teaching her how to roll joints.

Marijuana use is bad news, as is the use of alcohol, tobacco, illicit
drugs like cocaine, meth and heroin, and the illegal use of
pharmaceutical drugs. No to marijuana, alcohol, tobacco and all
recreational drug use.
