JUST SAY NO TO POT DISPENSARIES

Thank you City Council for rejecting the addition of medicinal 
marijuana dispensaries to town. All one has to do to see how these 
prescriptions are being abused is take a stroll down the Venice 
boardwalk and try to avoid the barkers outside the numerous pot shops 
hawking "free consultations." And from what I've seen on the 
literature they shove into your hands, prescriptions can be had for 
such simple maladies as headaches and sleeplessness.

The city was right in not making the same mistake that the state of 
California did in allowing these places to exist.
