WHY NOT SELL SEIZED POT?

I've watched the news every day looking at how many illegal pot plants
are found and pulled up, which will probably be burned. Also now
they've OK'd medicinal pot growing where these people will be able to
grow it legally and make money and the state will be able to collect
taxes on it.

If that is the case why not grab the illegal plants and have the
government go into the pot business? Not that I'm for it, but why burn
up one bunch and sell the other bunch? It seems that our government
will do just about anything to make money. It looks like our economy
is going to pot, and I guess if we're all using it we won't care.
