OUR BRAINS DON'T NEED ABUSE FROM POT

EDITOR, THE TIMES:

In the Aug. 11 edition of your paper ,Tim Felger states in part: ". .
. Mayor George Peary and Abbotsford city council are going 100 miles
an hour in the wrong direction for over a decade. We do not have a
financial and gang crisis - we have a leadership crisis!"

I presume that Felger is referring to the fact that the mayor and
council support "law enforcement."

What would we sooner have, a community where laws are enforced, or a
community where the "pot activists" are allowed free reign?

In the Aug. 14 edition, Bruce Codere echoes Felger's tirade. In
addition he states: "Canadian Cannabis prohibition is
unconstitutional, a shameless fraud."

It appears that the only goal of the "pot activist" is to have the
harmful drug marijuana legalized.

How would the legalization of this "mind-altering" drug benefit our
community? When we recover from our mind-altered state, would not the
existing problems remain?

Our brains are made for thinking, not as a receptor for drugs.
