UNDERSTANDING OF CONSTITUTION SEVERELY LACKING

Editor:

Regarding a Rob Taylor's letter of July 21.

The statement of your misunderstanding of states rights is very disturbing.

The possibility of you passing the bar and a chance you may someday
become a judge is frightening to this constitutional activist. The
belief that the supremacy clause supersedes our 9th and 10th
Amendments is an absolute, positive expression of your ignorance.

No matter how many of our rights are ignored by our public servants,
all of these rights are and will always be the supreme law.

When the supremacy clause, the commerce clause and Santa Claus
collide with our 9th and 10th Amendments, they are un-enforceable.

If and when you pass the bar, think of what your oath clearly states.
We the people have the final say.

The voters, when educated and they exercise their rights, the feds
will begin to take notice.

A reminder to our county sheriff: A firm letter of understanding sent
to the feds affirming his authority and power would nullify any
enforcement of federal laws.

Sheriff Parker's oath and duty to the citizens of Tehama County demands it.

Wishful thinking? Perhaps, but it is true.
