POWER A BETTER INDUSTRY THAN POT

Open letter to Garry Alexander - Project Assessment Director
Environmental Assessment Office: Re: Glacier-Howser IPP.

I support this green project for the following reasons.

As a lifetime resident of the affected area, I see this as a very
green project taking advantage of our natural resources to provide
jobs and social services for the area and the province.

With the forest sector on life support, the only industry we have
left is marijuana. This is no way to sustain our infrastructure or
social services as the pot industry pays no taxes.

The Glacier/Howser $300 million project will provide a much needed
shot in the arm for our sick economy and will provide over a million
dollars a year in local taxes for our infrastructure.

Representing 30 per cent of the eligible voters, our local MLA
appears to be against any job creating industry that pays taxes for
our social services and infrastructure. I sincerely hope our
government sees her political dogma for what it is and permits the
benefits to the province from this project to proceed.
