The drug squad, acting on information from students, said it arrested two males, ages 21 and 23, and seized four ounces of crack cocaine and more than a pound of marijuana -- a combined estimated value of about $10,000. They also seized $1,600 in cash. Police learned of the operation through the school's RCMP liaison program. "I think it's a concern to everybody, not just the board," said Surrey school board chairwoman Laurae McNally. Despite the troubling nature of the case, however, she saw a silver lining. "I was pretty impressed that it was students at the school that turned them in," she said. - --- MAP posted-by: Richard Lake
