MEDICAL MARIJUANA ISSUE DISCUSSED

The issue of medical marijuana hits the airwaves Tuesday (May 26) on
CHLY 101.7 FM radio.

The topic will be discussed on Pam Edgar's Living for the Health of It
show from 2-4 p.m.

"Polls show the vast majority of Canadians are in favour of legal
access to medical marijuana but most are not aware of the strength of
the benefit to those who suffer from a variety of serious ailments,"
said Glenda Allard Barr, a former designated medical marijuana grower
licensed by Health Canada and a guest on Tuesday's show.

Discussion is planned on the different benefits of varied strains of
marijuana, and different methods of taking the drug.

"The use of a vapourizer avoids the health concerns of smoking and
almost eliminates odour," said Barr. "Some patients may also take
marijuana in the form of a tea or added to baked goods."

There will be the opportunity to call in and participate in the
discussion, or e-mails may be sent to For more information, please call 250-716-3410.
