Another Look At Pot

YING AND YANG

Potheads rarely commit violent acts to get money for pot. It's the
crackheads and heroin addicts who commit the violent crimes.
Unfortunately, it's been said that pot is a gateway to harder drugs.
If you legalize marijuana, you open a door to the realm of harder drugs.

. . . I started out with cigarettes and graduated to pot. I never
went beyond that point, but a lot of people don't know when to say
when. Yes, the government can make and save a lot of money from this,
but [it can turn some lives] upside down because they have such
addictive personalities.

We have legalized alcohol and cigarettes, but it does come at a cost
for quite a few people -- alcoholism, emphysema and other slower
forms of death. Should marijuana be legal? You can't have ying
without the yang.
