INSULTED BY WILL'S STANCE ON MEDICAL MARIJUANA

It was with some consternation that I read the column by George Will
in Sunday's paper. The arrogance with which Will casually dismissed
those of us who could be greatly helped by medical marijuana as mere
dopers trying to con the lawmakers into giving them an easy way to get
high was shocking. How dare that man dismiss me and my suffering
without any information on the subject.

Only someone as pompous as George Will can make statements like that.
I can only wish there was some mechanism that would allow me to give
Will my disease for a couple of months and then see what this arrogant
man has to say on the subject of pain relief and constant nausea and
lack of appetite, to say nothing of dealing with the side effects of
morphine, Fentanyl, Lyrica and Cymbalta, to mention just some of the
drugs I have to ingest.

It is one of the main problems I have with fat-cat conservatives. They
have absolutely no empathy for anyone who isn't rich and healthy. To
so casually dismiss my condition and claim that my support of medical
marijuana is just an underhanded way for slackers and dopers to catch
a buzz is insulting and hurtful. How dare he?

To demand that I continue to suffer because he is uncomfortable with
the idea that someone might actually obtain cannabis for recreational
purposes is cruel and inhumane. He should be ashamed of himself.

I pray to God that there are enough humane legislators who have the
empathy to understand a situation like mine and offer some relief from
my disease. Please support Illinois Senate Bill 1381.
