TIME TO ADMIT THAT PROHIBITION HAS FAILED

Columnist George Will has the audacity to criticize medical marijuana laws and clinics in Colorado and California as hypocritical ( "Drop 'medical' from medical pot laws," column, Page D2, Nov.  29 )?

Read Charles Bowden's "Down by the River" to understand the obscene effects that prohibition and the failed War on Drugs have had on our communities.

It doesn't take a genius to know that if you legalize drugs, the drug cartels' business will dry up overnight and the incarceration and violence tearing our communities apart will stop.

Anyone who wants drugs has easy access to them already.  Pretending otherwise is hypocritical in the extreme.
