POLICE ACADEMY STUDENT HELD ON DRUG-SALE CHARGE

STONE RIDGE - A would-be police officer is in the Ulster County jail,
accused of selling drugs to an undercover narcotics officer.

Twenty-two year old David Wiggins of J Kingston, a student in the
Ulster County Community College police academy, faces felony drug
charges for allegedly selling cocaine to s member of the Ulster
Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics team.

Authorities claim Wiggins sold the cocaine to the officer on
Thursday, and they quickly arrested him on Friday after figuring out
he was enrolled in the police academy in Stone Ridge, about 60 miles
south of Albany.
