NAK'AZDLI WALKS AGAINST DRUGS

Staff of the Nak'azdli health Centre organized a march against drugs
June 29.

Many Nak'azdli members took part in the walk which is meant to bring
awareness and to let the community know that Nak'azdli does not
tolerate drugs on Nak'azdli territory.

Kids and adults alike made signs for the event, one sign, that Chief
Sam wore on his back, read, "smoke fish not drugs."

Drugs is something that the entire Fort St. James, Nak'azdli,
Yekooche, and Tl'azt'en area stands united against.

Nak'azdli's stand against area drug dealers and against the harmful
affects of drugs and their affects on youth was a powerful step in
letting those who do deal drugs that drugs are not tolerated on
Nak'azdli traditional territory and the entire area.
