CLINTON STUDENTS WIN DRUG QUIZ FINALS
Students from Clinton Middle School were named state champions of the
Rite Aid Drug Quiz Show after winning the Drug Quiz Show New York
State Finals Monday at the DoubleTree Hotel.
Clinton Middle School, along with Chittenango Middle School,
Christian Brothers Academy and Immaculate Conception, were the final
four teams competing for top honors.
The Drug Quiz Show New York State Finals consist of three rounds of
competitions.
Clinton Middle School students were awarded $300 to put toward a
drug-free night on the town, and all finalists received trophies.
More than 250 schools from across the state kicked off the 2007-08
season of the Rite Aid Drug Quiz Show last fall by competing with
teams from schools in their counties and regions, hoping to advance
to the state finals. These competitions tested students' knowledge
of drug, alcohol and health issues, and are designed to promote
healthy decision-making.
