POT 'PIONEERS' DESERVE RESPECT

RE: "Deadbeat dopers owe big time" (April 14). I am disgusted and
surprised you decided to "blame" licensed cannabis patients for not
"paying their bills" when the people of Canada have already paid for
this government facility AND its product. Cannabis from Prairie Plant
Systems and the government should be free for those of us who have
gone though the hoops of having a licence to possess this product. I
find it shameful people don't understand how therapeutic cannabis
sativa really is. For years I relied on over 30 pills and 2,000
milligrams of morphine and now can survive pain-free with mainly
cannabis and a few pharmaceuticals. Please try to understand where we,
as pioneers in this issue, are coming from and give us the respect and
compassion we are due.

(There is a lot of misunderstanding about this issue.)
