SMOKE MARIJUANA TO BECOME A CREATIVE LEGEND

Re: "Dreaming of electric Kool-Aid" Feb. 1, 2008

To the editor:

First off, let's get this straight: there is a difference between
stoners and occasional marijuana smokers.

A stoner is one who lights up the reefer regularly, and would not be
"thinking they are having an elaborate philosophical discussion when
in reality they are laughing about juvenile things and attempting to
eat soup with a fork." A stoner would probably be too stoned to even
make the soup, and would be just chillin' to his or her favourite music.

As far as creativity goes, have you ever heard the musical stylings of
Bob Marley, Janis Joplin, Nirvana or Jimi Hendrix? All of which are
legendary artists that would not have been the same without some
harmless fun with narcotics.

Okay, so maybe not harmless, because they are all dead, and surely
their drug use had something to do with that - but in their prime time
they shined!

Then there are your users who are still hitting the drugs and letting
the creative juices flow such as Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones and
Snoop Dogg. So the moral of the story is: if you want to be a legend,
do drugs!
