JUSTICE FOR SCUMBAG

Got What He Deserved For Shooting At Police

The guilty verdict against Daniell Anderson for attempted murder is an
important milestone in the war against scumbags who are increasingly
attacking police officers.

The drug-raid shooting in 2006, where Anderson fired at cops through a
bathroom door in his Jubilee Avenue home, was seen by many police
officers as an escalation of violence against cops.

And if a serious charge like attempted murder in this case didn't
stick, it would have been open season on police. It would have meant
that when cops raid a home with a warrant and announce their presence,
it would be OK for suspects to shoot at them.

Fortunately, saner minds prevailed in court yesterday and Queen's
Bench Justice Doug Abra slapped Anderson with a guilty verdict that
isn't always easy to prove in court.

INTENDED TO KILL

Attempted murder charges don't always stick because it's sometimes
difficult to prove the accused intended to kill.

In this case, it's pretty clear Anderson intended to kill. You don't
open fire at people through a bathroom door without knowing you might
kill them.

Anderson's story about how he thought the cops were home invaders is
not only bogus, it's laughable.

Even if they were home invaders, you can't open fire on people if
you're not under threat and especially if you don't know who they are.

Anderson's claim he couldn't hear the shouts of "police, police"
because he had a movie playing is even funnier than his bogus story
that he thought cops were home invaders.

Besides, what's this guy doing with a loaded firearm in his bathroom?
Does he take a bath with his firearms?

Or was he just expecting trouble?

The good news is this guy is likely going to do penitentiary time for
his crime. And he can think long and hard in a prison cell about how
smart it was to shoot at cops.

Others thinking about doing the same thing can also take a good look
at this case and decide whether it's a good idea to attack cops.

Of course, there's still the possibility Anderson could have the
guilty plea set aside if he can convince the court he was handled too
harshly by cops upon arrest.

Actually, I hope police did treat him harshly. That's what he deserved
for shooting at cops. I doubt there's much sympathy there.

The next round of punks attacking cops that we need to round up and
throw in jail are those who think it's a lark to drive stolen cars at
police officers.

We've seen a startling increase in the number of offenders who have
tried to mow down cops, putting police officers' lives and safety in
jeopardy.

I'm looking forward to the day we can see attempted murder charges
thrown at those pieces of human excrement, too.

As a society that believes in order, if we don't dig in and take a
hard position against those who attack police, we're all doomed.

Police represent the only line between order and disorder. Once the
scum penetrate that border, it's every man and woman for themselves.

And we don't want that.

The attempted murder verdict against Anderson is a major victory for
those who believe in order.

Justice Doug Abra should be given a hearty congratulations for his
decision.
