MIXED MESSAGES ON DRUGS PULPED

THE pulping of a Iemma Government pamphlet that sent mixed messages to
school children about drug use is a victory for families, claims shadow
minister for health Jillian Skinner.

"The pulping of this offensive document was the only option Health Minister
Reba Meagher could take," Mrs Skinner said.

"The decision of the Health Minister's department to produce this document
in the first place casts fresh doubts about Reba Meagher's judgment."

She called on Mrs Meagher to confirm how many pamphlets were produced, and
how much it cost taxpayers.

"Drug education must carry the simple message that it is never safe to take
illegal drugs," said Mrs Skinner.

"Only the incompetence of the Iemma Government could stuff up giving this
vitally important message to school children."
