DRUG PROHIBITION INCREASES ABUSE

Dear Editor:

I very much appreciated this article by Marc Zienkiewicz in the July
13 issue of the Interlake Spectator. He made a solid case for ending
drug prohibition in Canada. I agree with him. Drug prohibition
actually increases drug abuse and it fuels organized crime.

He stated that our politicians do not have the courage to come out
and say what needs to be said. If true, this is troubling. I intend
to send the article and a copy of this letter to our MP, Mr. Bezan,
our MLA Mr. Bjornson asking them to respond to the article by
submitting a letter to the Spectator. I look forward to learning their views.
