I cannot believe that a law student feels he can give legal advice based on what he has read in the media. Maybe a little fact-finding for the true story would have been in order before he gave advice! It is my understanding that Mr. King's suspension from the Wawota School was not a result of what he said, but for not obeying instructions to leave the school on June 12. The media is consistently stating that Wawota school administrators have refused to comment on it. I am sure that the administration would love to tell the true story, but did anyone ever stop to consider that it is its duty to protect the privacy of all students, no matter what the issue? Isn't it a shame that, by doing so, they are subject to what could be considered character assassination! I am a citizen of Wawota with no children attending school, but I am totally concerned about how the media is slandering our school administrators.
