GIVE SEIZED POT TO SICK AND DYING

Recent reports have noted that Health Canada charges a 1,000-per-cent
markup on the medicinal marijuana it sells. Meanwhile, police are
struggling to get rid of the ever-increasing amounts of pot they seize.

They are wasting time dealing with this when they should be going
after the true criminals.

All marijuana seized by police should be handed over to Health Canada
for distribution to Canadians who need it. Better still, why don't we
just get the police out of the business of enforcing an unpopular
prohibition law?

Police who wish to argue for the status quo on drug laws should
examine their conscience first and consider that much of the marijuana
sent to the ovens is destined for the sick and dying.
