JOINT AND A JAVA?

Editor, The News:

Cannabis (marijuana) is safer than OxyContin, and it isn't debatable.
(Editorial, "Flint pot vote raises awareness," March 4)

Cannabis has never caused an overdose, is less addictive than coffee
and safer than alcohol. Scientifically, cannabis should be removed
from being a Schedule I substance along with LSD and heroin and placed
as a Schedule III substance.
