HELP THE COMMUNITY: REPORT THE CRACK DEALERS

Well, what can I say? I am joyous, ecstatic and also dismayed by the
recent drug bust in Iqaluit.

Firstly, a big nakurmik, thank you, quana, and merci to the Iqaluit
RCMP detachment for the drug bust. Your efforts are appreciated and
don't go unnoticed.

Dismayed? Yes, I am alarmed that there is a market for 1.6 kilos of
crack cocaine in my home town (though I cannot fathom what 1.6 kilos
of crack looks like.) I'm dismayed because there are individuals who
take this drug, who are hooked on it and rely on it for pleasure.

I'm not trying to preach a way of life to the users, but you are
slowly killing yourselves.

To the crack dealers, there isn't a place for you in this world, let
alone this community. You're a killer of dreams, not just of the user
but as well those of his or her loved ones. This is a devastating
drug. It kills, deprives, steals, and sucks out the life of the user
and his or her loved ones but you don't care...all you hear is cha-ching!

Well, here's hoping the judge shows no mercy and society (and other
crack dealers) hears a loud slamming of the door closing behind your
arse as you walk into your cell.

As a society we cannot sit idly and watch this drug slowly envelop
this community, nor should we give the dealers free reign and turn a blind eye.

Dealers shame people who report them as "rats" and intimidate them. I
for one see informers as guardians of this community.

You know a crack dealer? Report them and do this community a favor.
If you don't, shame on you.
