POLICE: HEBRON MAN RAN METH LAB

HEBRON - A Washington County man has been charged with running a
methamphetamine lab at his home in Hebron.

Investigators discovered the lab in the garage along with ingredients
needed to make the drug at the home of a man, 32, on Warner Road,
Washington County sheriff's deputies said. About 22 ounces of
methamphetamine oil and a .22-caliber loaded handgun were also
seized, police said. Chemicals were in mason jars, glassware and soda
and beer bottles, deputies said.

The Capital District Drug Task Force was directed to the man's house
by Drug Enforcement Agency investigators who said the man had
obtained 200 grams of red phosphorous over the Internet from the
United Kingdom. Red phosphorous is a key ingredient in manufacturing
methamphetamine and has limited use, police said.

The man was charged Tuesday with criminal possession of a controlled
substance, a felony, deputies said. He was arraigned at Kingsbury
Town Court and is being held at the Washington County Correctional
Facility in lieu of $150,000 bail.
