DRUG WAR LOST

Re: "Teen's overdose death shows ongoing risks" (editorial, Aug. 24).

Every day in the newspaper there are drug stories. In the stories,
the children are blamed, but not the federal Drug Enforcement Administration?

Lindsay Lohan was caught with cocaine. She was sentenced to one day in jail.

If DEA officials would actually work for their paychecks, there would
be no drugs for kids to obtain. But this isn't the case; drugs are everywhere.

If there is a war on drugs, like the Iraq war, it is a flawed, failed war.
