NEVER TOO EARLY TO BE SCARED STRAIGHT

I am shocked to have read in the letters in the Cape Cod Times that
people actually believed that the Falmouth police and school officials
were to blame for the drug bust in the high school.

Number one, drugs are illegal and they do not belong in school. Number
two, what happened to responsibility of oneself?

If these teenagers bought or sold drugs they are breaking the law and
deserve punishment. People have to "own" their actions, good or bad.
If the parents have not been involved with their children, now is the
time to get them on the straight and narrow. If they need a little
scaring straight, so be it.
