PROPOSAL TO LEGALIZE DRUGS IN CAMDEN IS RACIST

As though Camden did not have enough socioeconomic problems to cope
with, along comes Frank Fulbrook, a so-called "activist," propounding
an illegal proposal to legalize drugs in the city.

He ignores a minor problem: Neither Camden nor anyplace else in the
United States can legalize drugs. Numerous times, courts have struck
down efforts to do so, including the so-called medicinal use of marijuana.

An "activist" who shamelessly admits to using drugs ("I've tried them
all") should know this.

What our "activist" does not seem to realize is that such a stupid act
would be viewed everywhere as blatantly racist. Sure, let's call
Camden an open city for drugs, then run for cover as people of every
age mob the city day and night to drug themselves senseless. But who
cares? It's only a predominantly minority city.

I suggest Fulbrook clear his mind and try to follow the path of
reason. Any social problem can be solved where there is the will to do
so.

From what I read in the paper, the police seem to know where the drug
corners and drug houses are. If those were the locations of known
terrorists, how long do you think they would remain?

If drugs were found to aid the spread of avian flu or mad-cow disease,
how long would the drug dealers be in business?

Worse, the Fulbrooks of this world, who themselves have used drugs,
are incapable of understanding that drugs are a moral problem. It is a
matter of right and wrong, but they prefer to hear, "Give me what I
want."
