TOUGHER SENTENCES NEEDED FROM COURTS

Re: House arrests. It's a complete disregard to our law enforcement
efforts when weak sentences are being handed down by our courts. We
preach to our children and grandchildren and others of the dangers
and consequences when involved in drugs.

When these individuals are apprehended, the courts seem to think that
a slap on the wrist is sufficient. These individuals knew, at the
time of their illegal activities, that they were committing a crime.

We the taxpayers believe that a person convicted of illegal
activities should be penalized with a prison sentence, not house
arrest. What a joke.

A person regardless of age should have the knowledge of the severity
of such an illegal act. Would these individuals supply their own
children, family and friends with an addicting drug? Drugs causes
robberies, assaults and even death.

We need our law enforcement to protect our society with more backing
from the courts. Therefore, we need our judges to hand out prison
terms, not house arrest, to these undesirables. Get them off our
streets for good so our children and grandchildren can live in a
better society.
